The purpose of the event is to welcome the entire Aalto community to return and get to know our wonderful campus. The campus service providers take part in the event with a variety of offers and activities.

Recycling on the Otaniemi campus has renewed in recent years. Plastic recycling started as a campus pilot project in 2019 and expanded to all campus buildings at the beginning of 2022.

Otakaari 2A and 2B construction will start during February.

Competition proposals for the Otaniemen Tietokorttelit architecture competition for Biology and Marine Technology area were submitted in January and the jury will now review the proposals. The winner of the competition will be selected during the spring 2022.

Fitness club Liikku Otaniemi will be opened on 2 February 2022 at 12 noon on the second floor of shopping center A Bloc. Check the opening offers and test the gym for free.

From now on, shopping center A Bloc will be open from Monday to Sunday from 5 am to 12 midnight with the opening of the Liikku Otaniemi fitness club.

Omnia Makerspace was launched in startup hub A Grid’s first floor opposite Restaurant Factory in April 2019. Since then, the space has evolved from an empty basement into a flourishing workspace where students and startups collide.

The trees will soon be given a new life as decaying wood art.

Building Otakaari 2A & 2B begins in January 2022, construction to be completed by summer 2023

Half of the parking area will be closed during December 2021 due to the HSY water supply renovation site.
