The activities of Aalto University School of Business relocated from Töölö to Otaniemi in February 2019, and the same time the former main building of the school was renamed Aalto University Töölö. Future Töölö is a vibrant meeting place for Aalto University and business life in the future. The main tenant at Aalto Töölö is Aalto University Executive Education, which offers thought provoking executive education and development services globally to individuals and organisations.

The renovation began in May 2019 and is estimated to be completed by the end of 2020. The repair and renewal plan is based on negotiations with the Finnish Heritage Agency and reviews on-site, as the building belongs to the international register by Docomomo, which specialises on the conservation and documentation of modern architecture.

Ravintola Töölö is open to everyone

Aalto Töölö has one of the most beautiful halls in Finland, venues for different events and a unique working environment with a view over Töölö.

Aalto Töölö's restaurant, Assembly Hall and auditorium are operated by Kanresta. The Assembly Hall will be open for galas, parties, concerts and dinners, and the auditorium for seminar use. The restaurant will open in January 2021 as Ravintola Töölö, which is open to all, and will cater events held at the Assembly Hall and auditorium.

The philosophy of Ravintola Töölö is based on Finnish, quality, organic and local food. Its specialty is a garden terrace with its own menu available the front kiosk. The interior design of the restaurant is  by design agency Made by Choice and the renovation of the entire building is carried out by Sarc Architects.

As a societal company, Kanresta distributes its dividends annually through its owner, the Finnish Association for Public Health, to overcome the major diseases in our country and to strengthen our wellbeing. The proceeds will contribute to research into paediatric diseases, mental health, prevention and treatment of heart disease, and health and wellbeing of the elderly. All Kanresta restaurants follow the Steps to Organic programme and heavily utilise the amenities of the local area in their purchases.
