The Sustainable Campus Team is looking for a person, entity or activity, which serves as a good example to others, takes concrete action or in some other way significantly brings Aalto University and its campus closer to reaching its sustainable development goals.
This year we encourage especially those multidisciplinary and versatile sustainability proposals that promote wellbeing, participation and a sense of community while working and studying remotely or on campus. Also, proposals bringing sustainability visible through art are highly encouraged.
Enter your suggestion for the Campus Sustainability Champion by 24th September 2021. The Sustainable Campus Team will choose the champion, and the champion will be published during the national Energy Conservation Week in October (event on 13rd October).
Prize is given now for the fifth time. Last year the title of the Aalto University Sustainability Champion was awarded to FOODL Food Giveaway – Otaniemi (Telegram-group) and an Aalto PHYS Staff scientist and Head of labs Kristoffer Meinander. An honorary mention was given to AYY for shifting to procuring fossil-free electricity and district heating on student housing.
