Maarintie to be closed to vehicles in September

With the closure of Maarintie in September, vehicle traffic will mainly re-routed via Tekniikantie and Tietotie. In the case of Tietotie and Tekniikantie, drivers should prepare for longer commute times, especially during the morning and afternoon rush hours.
The walking and cycling routes will remain on Maarintie throughout the construction, but the routes on the east side of the street will vary according to the work involved.
Car parks near Maarinranta are accessible throughout the construction.
The estimated duration of this phase is from September 2019 to June 2020.
Changes in the pedestrian and cycling routes of Maarinrannantie in August
Preparatory work on the Maarinrannatie road will begin in August. At the south side of Maarinrannantie, the walking and cycling routes are provisionally closed in mid-August and Maarinrannantie city bike station will be moved Vaisalantie side of the parking lot to the edge of the area.

Parking at Konemiehentie
Konemiehentie will be closed to vehicles in mid-August. Part of the Konemiehentie car park will be converted into a construction site and parking spaces will be closed. At Konemiehentie, the pedestrian and cycling routes will remain in use during construction. As work progresses, the pedestrian and cycling routes will run on either side of Konemiehentie, depending on the stages of construction.
Intermittent lane changes at Tietotie
