The campus welcomes its third Learning Lounge
Learning Lounge offers a versatile and comfortable environment where you can study, work, and network freely outside the restaurant’s regular opening hours. To make working easier, additional power outlets have been installed throughout the space, especially near the sofa seating area.
The space at Kvarkki Restaurant is open on weekdays from 14:30 to 20:00, except during times when private events are held on the premises. On the same floor, next to the restaurant, there are also meeting rooms (Spin, Isospin, and Outous) that are well suited for meetings and group work. These meeting rooms can be reserved separately through Aalto Space.
Other Learning Lounges are located at Maarintie 8 (Food & Co TUAS), open on weekdays from 14:00 to 19:30, and at A Bloc (Food & Co, 2nd floor), open on weekdays from 9:00 to 11:00. Light snacks and coffee are also available there on a self-service basis.
Space for self-study and work
The Learning Lounge offers flexible alternatives to traditional study and work environments. At the same time, it strengthens the campus community by providing students with more places to work on group projects, study independently, and grab a snack. By opening up the restaurant halls more widely for community use, the concept encourages interaction between students and staff across different disciplines and supports sustainable development by making better use of existing spaces.
